About Us - JW

If you grew up constantly raiding each other’s closets - then you get the vibe.

It all started one regular morning in our house — the kind filled with chaotic hair, borrowed makeup, and sisters stealing clothes like it was an Olympic sport. Trista came downstairs wearing one of Jaden’s tops, strutting like it was her own. Jaden, always quick with the sass, raised an eyebrow and said, “Cute top. Where’d you get it?” Without missing a beat, Trista clapped back, “Oh, I got it from my sister’s closet.” We all burst out laughing — and just like that, My Sister’s Closet was born.

Our story changed forever when we lost my daughter Jaden, the oldest sister. She had big dreams, bold ideas, and a heart that always rooted for the underdog. She loved to love!  Now, we live for her — honoring her memory by making sh*t happen, one design, one collection, one legacy at a time.

My Sister’s Closet is more than a brand — it’s a movement. A movement rooted in Indigenous strength, sisterhood, and storytelling. Our designs are inspired by traditions that stand the test of time — like the iconic kokum scarf florals. These vibrant patterns aren’t just beautiful — they carry generations of power.

During times of hardship and famine, Ukrainian and Indigenous communities stood together, helping one another through trade, kindness, and survival. From that bond, the kokum scarf emerged as more than just a piece of fabric — it became a symbol of resilience, unity, and matriarchal strength. Today, we carry that energy into every piece we create — blending cultural legacy with bold modern style made to turn heads and spark conversations.

We're proud to walk in two worlds: fashion-forward and future-conscious. Sustainable fashion means choosing materials and methods that care for the planet — not just for us, but for those who come after. Our ancestors taught us to think seven generations ahead. That means leaving enough — love, land, and good-looking outfits — for our kids’ kids’ kids.

Every piece we make holds meaning. Every stitch tells a story. And yes — we didn’t forget the fellas. Shoutout to our big brother Gage, the inspiration behind our Kokum swim trunks!

We’re here to make clothes with meaning.
To honor our roots.
To tell our sister’s story.
And to look damn good doing it.

This isn’t fast fashion.
This is forever fashion.
This is a whole damn vibe.
